Responsibilities
Note: As of January 1, 2025, salary adjustments have been approved by the State Human Resources Commission.
This full-time position (40 hours/week) offers State benefits. The candidate may work any shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Current State Employees: Salary grade is NC09. Applicants may be considered for pay adjustments based on experience and education.
About The NC Dept. Of Adult Correction: Responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of sentenced adults, including state prisons and community supervision divisions.
About Nash Correctional Institution: A medium custody facility in Nashville, NC, housing approximately 796 male offenders, with on-site Optical and Print Plants.
Qualifications: Experience in sanitation, menu planning, inventory management, and supervision of staff or offenders. High school diploma or GED, plus five years in institutional food services or management, or two years as a Correctional Food Service Supervisor. Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
