Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner for a correctional healthcare role in Ordway, Colorado. The position involves comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a secure facility.

The role requires an active Colorado NP license, at least 1 year of recent NP experience, and PSV/compliance documents as needed. Compensation is $145/hour on a 1099 basis with flexible shifts and dedicated recruiter support.

Qualifications

• Active CO NP license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of NP experience in the last 3 years.
• PSV verification from licensing board or equivalent, if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and monitor progress.
