Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to join the Washington County Jail medical team in West Bend, WI.

This full-time day shift role delivers direct nursing care, administers medications, and coordinates with practitioners to ensure safety and compliance. You will document patient information accurately, maintain infection control, and provide patient education while upholding HIPAA and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication and treatments as ordered.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate.
• Record vital signs and other measurements on-site.
• Triage and process patient intake as needed.
• Document data for CQI and reports.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Coordinate multiple medical services as directed by the practitioner.
• Educate patients on facility policies and discharge planning.
