Job summary

Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking Corrections education professionals who promote humane and secure environments and prepare individuals for successful community reentry. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with supervised student teaching and coursework in psychology, human development, education history/philosophy, and teaching methods at the applicable learning level.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with supervised student teaching and relevant coursework in general psychology, human development, history and/or philosophy of education, and teaching methods at the appropriate learning level (elementary or secondary).
Combination of education and experience allowed if applicant has 4-year degree and at least 1 full academic year of teaching experience in the appropriate level; accreditation verification expected.

Responsibilities

GL-07 and GL-09 education eligibility requirements are described, including graduate-level education possibilities and experience in teaching programs such as Literacy, GED, ESL.
