US Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System is seeking corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

Basic requirements include 24 semester hours of behavioral/social sciences and a combination of education and experience, plus applicable casework, counseling, or social rehabilitation experience. Graduate education toward a Ph.D. in corrections or related fields may be required.

Competenze

At least 24 semester hours of coursework in behavioral or social sciences.
Experience in casework in a correctional or criminal justice setting.
Experience in counseling with diagnostic or treatment planning skills.
Knowledge of behavioral science theories and disorders for advanced treatment.
Graduate education toward a Ph.D. in corrections or related field.
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level.

Mansioni

Facilitate individual and group sessions for inmates or clients in a pre-release program.
Apply evidence-based assessment and treatment techniques to achieve goals.
Demonstrate knowledge of principles and theories of human behavior to provide advanced treatment.
