Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Dentist to join our team at the Alabama Department of Corrections – Tutwiler Prison for Women in Wetumpka, Alabama, as a Correctional Dentist.

You will work alongside correctional officers and medical staff to deliver comprehensive dental care in a secure environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, creating treatment plans, educating patients, keeping records, and collaborating with other clinicians to meet complex needs.

Qualifications

• DDS or equivalent.
• Active dental license in the state.
• BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Current DEA registration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in correctional settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and provide preventive care for patients.
• Create treatment plans and perform dental procedures (extractions, restorations).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient dental records.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to address oral health needs.
