Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Correctional Dentist for Hughes Unit in Gatesville, TX. You will provide general dental care to offenders within a secure facility, under supervision with latitude for independent judgement and may serve multiple facilities.

Requirements include Texas dental licensure, Texas registration, DEA registration and BLS-HP. Two years of general practice preferred; salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice dentistry in Texas.
• Current Texas dental license registration.
• Current DEA controlled substance registration.
• Current BLS-HP certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs responsible general direct dental care services for the offender population of a correctional facility.
• Works under supervision with latitude for independent judgement and may serve multiple facilities.
• Contributes to the UTMB Correctional Managed Care operation.
