Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
• You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must pass a background investigation and meet CJIS compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation: Perform examinations, review medical histories, diagnose oral diseases, and prepare treatment plans
• Clinical Procedures: Provide restorative, endodontic, surgical, and preventative treatments while maintaining infection control standards
• Care Coordination: Consult with and refer patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care specialists as needed
• Staff Leadership: Direct dental assistants and hygienists, provide training, review performance, and support corrective actions
• Operational Review: Examine schedules, records, requests, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality and procedural standards
• Supply Oversight: Monitor inventory, approve replenishment, and maintain security, tool control, and toxic and caustic control
