Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a dentist to perform general direct dental care for the offender population within Texas correctional facilities. The role operates under the supervision of the Cluster Dental Director with some independence, and may cover multiple facilities as needed.

Applicants must hold a Texas dental license, current TX license registration, DEA registration, and BLS-HP certification. Salary is commensurate with experience and UTMB’s policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Texas.
• Current registration of license to practice dentistry in the state of Texas.
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration certificate.
• Current BLS-Health Provider (BLS-HP).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct general dental care to the offender population in a correctional facility.
• Work under supervision with latitude for independent judgment and may serve multiple facilities.
