Job summary

CoreCivic invites applications for a Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to inmates/residents in a Georgia facility. The role includes routine procedures, treatment planning, and program coordination to maintain high-quality dental services.

The successful applicant will be a graduate of an approved dental school with state licensure, and ideally possess experience in a correctional setting. CoreCivic offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of dentistry and licensure as a dentist in the state of employment.
• At least one year of experience preferred; good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental treatment including examinations, x-rays, fillings and extractions as warranted.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise the facility dental program and educate inmates/residents on oral health.
• Recruit, schedule, train, supervise and evaluate subordinate staff as needed.
• Coordinate professional dental services with external providers and maintain dental records.
• Assist with budgeting, billing reviews and cost-control for dental services.
