Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Corrections seeks a licensed dentist to provide direct dental care to the inmate population under the supervision of the Director of Dentistry. You will maintain dental health and delivery services at the assigned clinic and supervise dental assistants.

You will oversee clinic operations to ensure compliance with professional standards, and, as directed, provide dental care at other institutions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited dental school.
• Licensure to practice dentistry in South Carolina.
• Current federal and state DEA.
• Prefer 3 years of dental experience.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct dental care to inmate population.
• Maintains dental health and delivery services at assigned dental clinic.
• Manages and supervises assigned dental assistant personnel.
• Manages and supervises operations at the assigned dental clinic to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provides dental care at other institutions as directed by the Director of Dentistry.
