NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Dental Hygienist to join the Bibb Correctional Facility team in Brent, Alabama. The role involves providing preventive dental care to incarcerated patients in a controlled setting, collaborating with correctional staff, and upholding patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Valid dental hygiene license in AL.
• Dental radiology certification is required.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Strong communication and ability to work in a correctional environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies.
• Pass facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, assess oral health and assist with procedures.
• Clean teeth, remove tartar and plaque, apply fluoride, and take x-rays.
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment and tools.
• Support dental department operations and document care in patient records.
• Explain procedures and oral hygiene practices to patients.
• Take and develop x-rays and assist with dental lab functions.
• Complete periodontal charting and obtain diagnostic records.
• Conduct oral cancer screenings and provide hygiene instructions.
• Monitor periodontal conditions and use TechCare™ in patient records.
