Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. The role works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or six months of experience required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not held, must obtain in first year.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments.
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory.
• Operating radiographic equipment.
