Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Counselor in Colorado to provide high-quality, secure care within an institutional setting. You will join a unit management team and work to resolve inmate issues before they escalate.

Responsibilities include delivering programs, managing a caseload, conducting one-on-one meetings, and daily rounds to maintain safety and order. A HS diploma/GED and 1 year of correctional experience are required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of correctional officer experience required; two or more years preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Resolve daily inmate issues before they become significant matters or grievances.
• Ensure services and programs are delivered to inmates as designed.
• Maintain a caseload of inmates to address daily living issues.
• Make daily rounds, observe operations, and ensure unit safety and security.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with inmates regarding grievances and resolve them per policy.
