Beaufort County in South Carolina seeks a Detention Center Security Officer to ensure the safety of inmates and visitors. This position works under close supervision and follows established procedures.
Responsibilities include enforcing rules, processing bookings (fingerprinting, photos, uniforms), logging inmate property, monitoring cells, transporting inmates, and supporting medical visits. HS diploma and SC CJ Academy certifications are required.
The purpose of this position is to provide for the safety and security of incoming and outgoing inmates and visitors to the Detention Center. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
