Responsibilities

• Maintains security and surveillance over institutional access, egress, program activities, and other activities.
• Monitors schedules.
• Monitors and controls access of staff, visitors and inmates through the use of video monitors, audio communications and operation of electronic doors.
• Assure compliance with overall facility security procedures in an electronic control center, including security equipment and override systems.
• Adherence to safety and security guidelines, policies and practices while working in and around a correctional institution environment.
