Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Case Manager (S) in North Carolina to assess offender needs, develop case plans, monitor compliance, and coordinate re-entry services.

Reporting to a Correctional Programs Supervisor, you will conduct initial assessments, provide supportive counseling, organize rehabilitation programs, and liaise with families while meeting strict standards and mandatory qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation, or related field.
• High school diploma or GED + two years custody experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess offender behavior and develop counseling strategies for progress.
• Answer offender questions and provide information on classification and sentencing; offer supportive counseling.
• Organize and direct rehabilitation programs for offenders.
• Coordinate work release and home leave investigations; plan re-entry prior to parole or release.
• Make recommendations to classification committees on program involvement or custody level changes.
• Work in Close, Medium, and Minimum Custody facilities; may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
