Job summary

State-of-Oklahoma is seeking a Correctional Case Manager to perform routine social casework and offender re-entry planning within a correctional institution. You will conduct interviews, assess security needs, review records, and guide offenders toward successful community reintegration.

The role requires applying counseling techniques, coordinating with partners for pre and post-release services, and generating reports such as parole summaries.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements grow with level: I: bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus related inmate work exposure.
• II: bachelor’s degree plus two years of correctional records management or social casework with classification responsibilities; master’s allowed for one year substitution.
• III: bachelor’s degree plus three years of correctional records management or social casework with advanced responsibilities; master’s substituted for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Use interviews and assessment tools to determine security risk and program needs.
• Review offender records to determine progress and adjust classification or assignments.
• Advise offenders on personal, employment, and educational needs; aid in institutional adjustment.
• Deliver programs to aid re-entry post-release.
• Assist with reports such as parole summaries or presentence investigations.
• Develop and monitor transition plans and collaborate with partners for pre/post-release support.
