Description Of Work
This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Blanch, NC (Caswell County), a minimum custody male facility, reporting directly to the Program Director. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of offenders, developing case plans, addressing offender questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee. The role also involves assisting with major dynamic or specialized programs for offender rehabilitation, such as work assignments, work release, education, recreation, and transition planning, including re-entry prior to parole or community release.
Salary Information
Effective January 1, 2025, salary ranges will be $35,984 - $62,971, following new adjustments approved by the State Human Resources Commission.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of case management practices, supportive counseling, or interviewing techniques for intake assessments. Detailed descriptions of relevant knowledge and experience should be entered in the application.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with state benefits, primarily Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with potential for additional hours as needed. Current state employees are encouraged to apply, with salary adjustments based on qualifications and internal policies.
