Job summary

Corecivic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care to deliver high-quality medical services within a correctional facility. The NP will work under the supervision of the facility physician to provide advanced nursing care to inmates/residents.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, diagnosing a broad spectrum of conditions, creating treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating with specialists as needed. Emphasis on preventive care and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state/jurisdiction of the facility.
• Experience in primary care or correctional/underserved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical evaluations, histories and examinations for incarcerated individuals.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and medications.
• Order and interpret tests and vaccinations; promote preventive care.
