Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Correction Technician in Boyers, PA to process correction requests from Federal Agencies in line with contract requirements. This role supports the CPOC within the Defense and Intel Operating Group and requires on-site work with potential evenings/weekends depending on workload.

The position demands one year of government contracting experience, familiarity with PIPS and OPIS systems, and strong written/oral communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of government contracting experience.
  • Familiar with PIPS and OPIS computer systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to interpret procedure manuals and instructions.
  • Able to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Modify case information into IES to ensure scheduling accuracy.
  • Sort reports and route to appropriate departments.
  • Process corrections, cancellations, or reconstructions from reports or requests.
  • Compare and evaluate cases (e-QIP, SAC) against criteria or previous cases.
  • Communicate with Federal Agencies to resolve discrepancies by phone or email.
  • Reconcile corrected information and prepare cases for scheduling.
  • Process corrections when information is unavailable or delays occur.
  • Handle upgrades/downgrades on investigations as requested by agencies.
  • Schedule high level cases for specific agencies.
  • Learn Scheduling Specifications for all case types and adapt to changes.
  • Manage multiple processes and work in a small team setting.

Job description

Correction Technician

The primary responsibility of the Correction Technician is to process correction requests from Federal Agencies and other departments in accordance with contractual requirements. This position supports the Case Processing Operation Center (CPOC) within our Defense and Intel Operating Group.

Key Role/Responsibilities
  • Modify case information into IES to ensure cases schedule completely and accurately
  • Sort reports and route to appropriate departments
  • Work from reports or email requests to cancel, schedule or reconstruct incomplete or missing items on scheduled cases
  • Compare and evaluate cases (e-QIP, hardcopy and electronic SAC) that meet specific criteria of or show discrepancy with a previous case in PIPs
  • Communicate with Federal Agencies to resolve discrepancies via phone and email
  • Reconcile cases with corrected information and prepare them for scheduling
  • Process cases for return to agency when required information is not available
  • Process correction request from Federal Agencies and other departments within the company
  • Process upgrades and downgrades on investigations as requested from agency
  • Schedule high level cases for specific agencies
  • Learn and comprehend Scheduling Specifications for all case types and adapt to changes in case correction guidelines
  • Manage multiple processes
  • Work well in small team setting
  • Other assignments/projects as needed to support department, contract or business needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year of government contracting experience.
  • Familiar with PIPS and OPIS computer systems.
  • Effectively communicate with team members both written and oral.
  • Must be able to interpret procedure manuals, email correspondence and instructions.
  • Must have the ability to manage and complete work assignments independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule. Schedules are dependent on workload and will require availability outside of department core hours, which may include evening and weekends.
  • Must be willing to work on-site as needed.
  • Must consent to a government background investigation. Contract requires US citizenship, due to nature of work performed.
  • Must reside within 1 hours driving time of Boyers, PA

Work will be performed primarily onsite. Work location will be determined based on job function/workload needs and leadership approval.

Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
  • Experience working in the Government services industry is preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Work is performed using company furnished laptop or desktop.
