Job summary

The Salvation Army in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Corps Mission Associate to support day-to-day operations, develop religious and social service programs, recruit volunteers, and supervise worship and mission activities. This full-time exempt role requires leadership in evangelism and community outreach within the Corps and surrounding community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience performing mission work or experience participating in program development for a church or corps.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an evangelist through the proclamation of Jesus Christ as redeemer with the intent of impacting the lives of men and women through spiritual regeneration; promotes membership into the body of Christ which includes but is not limited to The Salvation Army.
• Assists Corps Officer and Program Coordinator in planning and implementing worship and outreach programs for the corps that reaches across all age groups.
• Plans, develops, prepares, and leads specific youth ministries programs; leads or assists with regular meetings for Adventure Corps; prepares and coordinates or assists with production of Christian program materials and newsletters; assists in Sunday School teacher development.
