Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Corps Ministry Assistant to provide ministry, programmatic, and administrative support to the Corps Officers in planning and implementing corps ministries, programs, and activities.

The role offers cross-functional support across ministry areas and requires collaboration with employees, volunteers, participants, and community members to maintain a safe, welcoming ministry environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess management, organizational and creativity skills.
• Must possess basic office skills including use of computer.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history.
• PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training required.

Responsibilities

• Seasonal efforts, kettles, Christmas Toys, Back to School, etc.
• Social and ministry programs.
• Corps Ministries, VBS, Camp recruitment and transportation.
• Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by the Corps officers
• Provide Written Reports as Needed
• Keep Regular Office Hours as assigned by the Corps Officers
• Assist with answering the phone and provide client assistance as needed.
• Assist in planning, setting up, and executing all Corps Programming
• Assist with the coordination and participation of Divisional functions and activities
• Work with the Officers and other personnel on the ministry team to connect social service clients with Corps programs and worship opportunities.
• Assist in the maintenance and tidiness of all program areas
• Participate in staff meetings as needed
• Assist in the responsibility for all Salvation Army equipment and property, making sure it is secure

Overview

The Corps Ministry Assistant provides ministry, programmatic, and administrative support to the Corps Officer(s) in the planning and implementation of corps ministries, programs, and activities. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Seasonal efforts, kettles, Christmas Toys, Back to School, etc....
• Social and ministry programs.
• Corps Ministries, VBS, Camp recruitment and transportation.

Office Responsibilities:
