Job description

About Cristo Rey Network

The Cristo Rey Network of 41 high schools delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources, uniquely integrating rigorous academic curricula with four years of professional work experience and support to and through college. Cristo Rey partners with educators, businesses and communities to enable students to fulfill their aspirations for a lifetime of success: students are two times more likely to complete a bachelor's degree by age 24, compared to the total U.S. low-income population.

Who We Are

Cristo Rey Orlando High School is located in Orlando, FL, and is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. The school opened its doors to its inaugural freshmen class in the fall of 2025. Like all Cristo Rey schools, it is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. The school is co-educational and serves students of diverse backgrounds. We help our students grow intellectually, academically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and morally. Our aspiration is that all our students graduate from high school and college and become the future leaders in our churches, institutions, businesses, nonprofits, and the community at large. Cristo Rey Orlando will prepare students to excel in college, in career, and in character. Our college-prep curriculum, Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), and faith-based education combine to give students a unique experience and an affordable option for high-quality education.

Who You Are

You have a natural ability to connect with people, build trust, listen well, and develop relationships that grow stronger over time. You understand that successful partnerships require more than good communication—they require responsiveness, follow-through, problem-solving, and a genuine understanding of what matters to each partner. You are equally passionate about developing young people. You see potential in students, hold them to high expectations, and know how to coach them through the challenges of entering and navigating professional environments. You can celebrate a student's growth while also having the difficult conversation when their performance does not meet expectations. You are comfortable moving between two very different worlds—sitting across the table from a corporate executive or supervisor in the morning and coaching a high school student through a workplace challenge that afternoon. You understand how to translate expectations between students, families, schools, and employers while keeping relationships strong. You don't wait until there is a problem to engage. You are visible, proactive, curious, and intentional about understanding your partners, their organizations, their supervisors, and the students working within them.

This Role

Cristo Rey Orlando High School is seeking a mission-driven, relationships-focused professional who is passionate about building strong corporate partnerships and developing young people. The Relationship Manager serves as a trusted partner to employers while coaching students to build the skills, confidence, and professional behaviors needed to thrive in the workplace. This role serves as a critical bridge between our students, corporate partners, and school community, ensuring a meaningful and high-quality Corporate Work Study experience for all.

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for an assigned portfolio of corporate partners, supervisors, and students.
  • Build authentic, trusted, and long-term relationships with corporate partners by understanding their organizations, workplace cultures, needs, expectations, and experiences with CWSP.
  • Provide a high level of partner stewardship and customer service, ensuring supervisors and partners feel supported, informed, heard, and valued throughout the partnership.
  • Maintain consistent, proactive engagement with partners through workplace visits, check-ins, meetings, calls, and ongoing communication—not only when challenges arise.
  • Develop strong relationships with assigned students and serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate throughout their workplace experience.
  • Help students develop the professional skills, confidence, judgment, communication, and workplace behaviors necessary to succeed.
  • Conduct regular student coaching conversations and workplace check-ins to assess progress, celebrate growth, and identify areas requiring additional development.
  • Partner with supervisors to establish clear expectations, gather meaningful feedback, and create opportunities for students to grow within their workplace assignments.
  • Facilitate productive conversations when student performance or workplace concerns arise, balancing student development with partner expectations and experience.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans and interventions when students need additional workplace support.
  • Help students understand how their workplace experiences connect to their interests, strengths, career exploration, and future goals.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen corporate partnerships through stronger supervisor engagement, meaningful student experiences, and increased connection to the Cristo Rey Orlando community.
  • Monitor the overall health of assigned partnerships, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends and escalating significant concerns appropriately.
  • Collaborate with CWSP leadership, the Operations Coordinator, teachers, counselors, families, and other school personnel to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of partner engagement, workplace visits, student coaching, supervisor feedback, interventions, and relationship activity.
  • Represent Cristo Rey Orlando professionally within corporate workplaces and throughout the Central Florida business community.
  • Serve as the bridge between the workplace and the school, ensuring that both corporate partners and students have a high-quality CWSP experience.
