Cortland is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to support the accuracy and efficiency of accounting and financial reporting. You will maintain general ledger accounts, perform analyses, and contribute to month-end, year-end, and audit activities.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, AR/billing support, fixed assets, and cross-functional collaboration to drive accurate reporting and audits.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in corporate, real estate, construction, or a related accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively partner across functions.

Mansioni

• Support monthly close with financial reports, analyses, and schedules to ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, invoicing, collections, and aging reporting; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Administer fixed asset accounting, depreciation, dispositions, and related reconciliations; support month-end/year-end close.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues and assist with audit deliverables.
