Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to support financial statement preparation and analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and management reporting across the organization.

You will assist with tax projections, audits, fixed asset accounting, and collaboration with sales, operations, legal, and business development teams on client-specific financial matters and commissions.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Accounting preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting related role preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
• High energy with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Financial statement preparation and analysis including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accrual calculations, management reporting, and tax projections.
• Support annual audits and tax reporting in collaboration with internal teams.
• Fixed asset accounting including asset entries, disposals, and year-end considerations.
• Partner with sales, operations, legal, and business development on financial matters.
• Mentor and train team members and lead process improvements.
