Job Description

The Corporate Services (CS) People Practices Leader will be the primary representative of People Practices (PP) within the business. Responsible for leading a group of PP Advisors/Partners whose primary focus is to execute, identify, solve, manage, and improve operational excellence, manager development, team performance, and strategic support. The CS PP Leader additionally focuses on business growth, customer value, workforce strategy, people initiatives, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership development (including succession management). This role operates within our Corporate Services teams across the organization and serves as the primary interface with the Regional Leadership Team (including P&L Leaders of Business Units) and the PP COE/SME Leaders, providing input regarding functional strategies, program design, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. People (Leading Others and Leading Team) Leadership and People Practices Leadership:
    • Leading and managing a team of individuals providing services across the region, including directly managed and matrixed employees.
    • Aligning PP team objectives with company and local business goals.
    • Enhancing PP team performance.
    • Ensuring the team is focused on and executing key people practices responsibilities (Recruit, Retain, Develop).
    • Representing People Practices to the region and facilitating communication across regional, business unit, leadership, and employee levels.
  2. Value Creation and Employee Experience:
    • Facilitating ‘1DPR’ to ensure local and regional People Practices execution for Admin and Craft employees.
    • Implementing strategies from the PP COEs including Talent Acquisition, Talent and Learning, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Employee Experience, and Organizational Effectiveness.
    • Curating employee experiences that meet business needs and accelerate DPR People Practices strategies.
    • Facilitating employee experiences in collaboration with other leaders and teams (e.g., Recruitment, Training).
    • Overseeing orientation and onboarding processes.
    • Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
    • Acting as the primary feedback mechanism for regional input on design, policies, and services.
    • Promoting best practices and accelerating adoption across regions.
    • Leading initiatives on mental health, inclusion, belonging, pay equity, and experiential equity.
  3. Change Management, Culture, and Organizational Development:
    • Advising on organizational change and culture initiatives.
    • Managing external consultants and facilitators.
    • Leading leadership and cultural onboarding programs as a regional ambassador.
  4. Employee and Leader Development including Succession Management:
    • Facilitating succession planning and overseeing talent development activities.
    • Leading performance management and talent review processes.
    • Ensuring effective training and development participation.
  5. Workforce Strategies, Development, and Planning:
    • Analyzing data trends with PP COE and Operational Services.
    • Guiding regional leadership on People Practices strategies.
    • Developing frameworks for regional and BU-specific workforce strategies.
    • Collaborating on talent acquisition, diversity, and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Organizational Development, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience across HR functions including Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Business Partnering, Organizational Development, DEI, Learning, Talent Management, and Strategic Planning (highly preferred).
  • Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP preferred; ongoing professional development expected.
  • ICF Coaching Certification is a plus.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HCM platforms (e.g., Workday) and analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Qualtrics).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret laws and organizational policies.
  • Strong time management skills and experience in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Travel requirement: approximately 25% to 50% annually.
