Position Purpose: Monitor site security and assist Home Depot associates with security and safety related issues. Shift availability is as follows:

• Saturday and Sunday
• First Shift: 6A to 6P
• Second Shift: 6P to 6A

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the complex and investigate unusual occurrences.
• Write incident reports on actual or potential loss and interview victims and witnesses.
• Respond to emergency situations of various types.
• Perform security inspection tours; document problems and notify appropriate personnel.
• Operate the security Control Room.
• Monitor security check points at facilities as directed to screen and control events.
• Escort associates and visitors to parking facilities as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure

• This position has no direct reports.
• Typically has some contact outside workgroup.
• Assignments are very specific and follow detailed rules or instructions.

Travel and Physical Requirements

• Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
• Intermittent physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting.

Working Conditions

• Indoor environment with possible exposure to dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, drafts, or bright lights.
• Routine work with few deadlines or pressures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to six months of experience preferred.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
