Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Corporate Sales Manager to join our team at Saint John's Resort!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for learning the hotel brand and strategy
  • Drive customer loyalty to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence
  • Manage business travel accounts to maximize potential
  • Negotiate group business, guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within assigned markets to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Upsell and promote departmental revenue opportunities
  • Maintain active customer communication and documentation of solicitation, closing, and follow-up
  • Ensure accurate use of the sales system per SOP, including recording bookings and lost business
  • Identify and solicit new accounts via telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries
  • Develop and maintain a target list of accounts and communicate updates to DOS
  • Assist with group rooming lists, guest folio inspections, and communication with front office, accounting, and Revenue Management
  • Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings with clients
  • Attend property receptions to generate leads and interact with customers
  • Organize local area blitzes and build relationships with local businesses and industry associations
  • Build and maintain relationships with competitors to stay informed of market trends
  • Conduct hotel and banquet facility tours and entertain qualified clients
  • Respond promptly and accurately to RFPs and client requests
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and participate in trade shows and sales trips
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school education; post-secondary preferred
  • At least four (4) years of hotel sales experience preferred
