Job summary

America Works of Maryland is hiring a Corporate Representative who will deliver job readiness training, conduct coaching, and manage case plans for adults seeking employment. The role combines classroom instruction with one-on-one support to help participants overcome barriers and achieve long-term success.

Ideal candidates will be passionate about workforce development, able to engage diverse populations, and skilled at coordinating services including housing, childcare, and transportation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience in workforce development, adult education, career counseling, case management, or social services.
  • Experience facilitating classroom instruction, workshops, or training sessions preferred.
  • Experience developing individualized employment or service plans.
  • Passion for serving underserved and disadvantaged populations.
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and workforce development best practices is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or other case management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate job readiness workshops and individual coaching.
  • Provide case management and employment counseling.
  • Develop individualized employment/service plans based on participant goals.
  • Assist with intake, screenings, and progress tracking.
  • Connect participants with supportive services (housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
  • Meet enrollment, participation, placement, and retention goals.
  • Balance classroom facilitation with participant support.

Location: Baltimore, MD

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary

America Works of Maryland is seeking a experienced, organized, and motivated Corporate Representative to career coaching, job placement and case management services to adults seeking employment. This role combines job readiness training with individualized career counseling to help participants overcome barriers, develop professional skills, and achieve long-term employment success.

The ideal candidate is passionate about workforce development, enjoys working with diverse populations, and can effectively balance classroom facilitation with one-on-one participant support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction & Job Readiness Training
  • Facilitate individual and group job readiness workshops covering workplace expectations, communication, interviewing, professionalism, and job search strategies.
  • Conduct classroom instruction focused on employment preparation and career development.
  • Develop and update training materials and lesson plans as needed.
  • Coordinate mentoring opportunities and participant engagement activities.
  • Assist participants with resume writing, cover letters, online job applications, and interview preparation.
  • Provide computer literacy support and guidance for employment-related technology.
Career Coaching & Case Management
  • Conduct participant intake, eligibility screenings, and ongoing job readiness assessments.
  • Develop individualized employment and service plans based on participant goals and needs.
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching, employment counseling, and ongoing case management.
  • Identify employment barriers and connect participants with supportive services, including housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare, clothing, and community resources.
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with participants in person, by phone, or virtually to monitor progress and ensure continued engagement.
  • Support participants before and after job placement to promote job retention and long-term success.
  • Conduct outreach and re-engagement activities, including home visits when appropriate.
Employment Services
  • Assist participants with job searches, vocational training referrals, educational opportunities, certification programs, and career advancement planning.
  • Build relationships with employers and support participants throughout the hiring process.
  • Encourage participant accountability, self-sufficiency, and professional growth.
  • Maintain participant motivation while fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate case notes, attendance records, participant files, and documentation.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and program reporting.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.
  • Utilize program databases and case management systems to document participant progress.
  • Meet enrollment, participation, job placement, and retention goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation.
