Job summary

Palmetto State Armory is hiring a Corporate Recruiter to develop and implement recruiting strategies for the organization. You will guide the Recruiting Assistant, meet weekly to review openings, and coordinate high-volume interviews and on-site hiring events with agencies.

You will engage with schools and community partners to create pipelines for future talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws and efficient use of ATS/HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4-6 years of exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in a full lifecycle environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to establish cooperative relationships built on trust.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
• Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations.
• Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Corporate Recruiter implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for all JJE companies. Assists with other projects as needed.

Job Purpose

• Work with department managers to develop and implement new recruiting strategies to focus on finding qualified applicants for all JJE companies.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to the Recruiting Assistant.
• Meet weekly with the Recruiting Assistant to review open positions, discuss progress, and shift focuses based on current hiring needs and positions that have been filled.
• Conducts hiring events with outside agencies.
• Work with High School counselors and other faculty in the Midlands to help create a pipeline for upcoming high school graduates.
• Conducts face to face recruiting to include distributing flyers and participating in community events that focus on our target markets, i.e. Gun Shows, Flea Markets, and Outdoor Expos.
• Achieves staffing objectives as directed by the HR Director and HR Manager.
• Reviews applications and resumes as received to select top qualified candidates for the assigned jobs.
• Completes thorough pre-screening of applicants.
• Schedules interviews.
• Conducts pre-employment testing.
• Facilitates high volume interviews weekly.
• Coordinates and aids in coordination of on-site hiring events to be held monthly.
• Acts as a liaison between JJE companies and staffing agencies. This requires coordinating interviews, onboarding, and access badge issuing.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4-6 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
• Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of manufacturing recruiting experience
• Prior HR experience in a manufacturing setting
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now HRIS System

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical office environment, including heavy PC and phone usage. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel approximately 10% of time is required; travel will vary weekly.

Physical Requirements

The Corporate Recruiter is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, and walk.
