Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Project Engineer to support chemical manufacturing facilities across the US and Canada. The role can be remote from a city with a major airport or hybrid in the Atlanta, GA area with relocation support.

Travel will be 40–60% and capital projects typically range from $1–2MM. A BS in engineering and strong PM skills are required, with PMP ideal and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Strong project management experience.
• Experience managing capital projects in the $1-2MM range.
• Experience in a PSM-regulated facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design, cost analysis, and equipment selections.
• Manage projects from conception to implementation.
• Analyze data and make recommendations to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Provide project paperwork including investment requests, bids, and contracts.
• Conduct PHAs, MOCs, and PSSRs on projects.
• Adhere to site safety standards and practices.

Our client is a global chemical manufacturer looking to add Corporate Project Engineers to support manufacturing facilities around the US and Canada.

This position can be based remotely from a city with a major airport (easy travel accessibility).

The position can also be based in the Atlanta, GA area (relocation will be provided to the Atlanta area only). If based in Atlanta, the position will be a hybrid role based from Corporate headquarters and home base.

Travel will be anywhere from 40-60% at times.

As a Corporate Project Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead project design, cost analysis, equipment selections, etc.


• Manage projects from conception to implementation


• Analyze data and make recommendations for solutions that optimize manufacturing processes


• Provide all project related paperwork, including investment requests, bids, contract agreements, etc.


• Conduct PHAs, MOCs, and PSSRs on projects


• Adhere to all site safety standards and practices

Requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering


• Minimum 5 years or more of experience in the chemical industry


• Strong project management experience is required


• Experience managing capital projects in the $1-2MM range from conception to implementation


• Previous experience in a PSM-regulated facility


• Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time


• PMP certification would be ideal


• Will only consider US citizens or US green card holders**

Salary Range: Up to $140,000 + 10-15% yearly bonus potential
