Job summary

Rich Products Corporation invites applications for a Corporate Planning Intern in Buffalo, NY. The role supports the Finance/Corporate Planning Department with financial reporting, analysis, and consolidation processes for US and Canada, including ad-hoc analyses and AI-enabled model development.

The internship runs Sept/Oct 2026–April 2027, with 15–29 hours per week, depending on academic breaks. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Finance/Accounting/MIS degree, maintains at least a 3.0 GPA, and

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Finance/Accounting/MIS or related).
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong financial, problem solving and interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AI, Oracle BI tools, and SAP preferred but not required.
  • General understanding of accounting and U.S. GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate, summarize, and analyze budget vs. actual spend; present to leaders.
  • Prepare price/volume/mix reports for governance decks.
  • Assist close and forecasting consolidation for US/Canada.
  • Load/verify actual and forecasted data into reporting systems.
  • Create a Total Food Group flash forecast deck.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses with Oracle/Hyperion and SAP.
  • Analyze competitors and market dynamics.
  • Engage in project work to improve monthly close.
  • Develop models using AI to streamline reporting and forecasting.

Purpose Statement

This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-driven! In this role you will work with our Finance/Corporate Planning Department supporting various functions with financial reporting and analysis. This internship will start in September/October 2026 and last approximately until April 2027. This intern will work 15-20 hours/week during the semester, and up to 29 hours/week during school breaks.

  • Standard monthly reporting including, but not limited to:
    • Consolidate, summarize, and analyze corporate budget vs. actual spend reports and communicate to various leaders.
    • Prepare price/volume/mix report and analysis for monthly governance decks.
  • Assist financial close and forecasting consolidation for United States and Canada business:
    • Load and verify actual and forecasted data for newly acquired companies into our reporting systems.
    • Consolidate and prepare presentation deck for Total Food Group flash forecast reporting.
  • Ad-hoc analysis for various finance requests using Oracle/Hyperion tools and SAP.
  • Analyze and maintain analysis of key competitors within the industry.
  • Project based work to enhance monthly close process.
  • Model development using AI to streamline and enhance monthly reporting and forecasting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, working towards earning a Bachelor's or Masters degree (concentration in Finance, Accounting, MIS or related field)
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Functional competencies to include strong financial, problem solving & interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong skills in Microsoft excel.
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AI, Oracle BI tools, and SAP preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a general understanding of accounting and U.S. GAAP.
  • Critical thinking skills.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$18.00-$33.00
