We are hiring for a full-time Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the External Affairs department at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Second Harvest implements sustainable solutions to food insecurity through a strategically selected network of more than 600 partners across 46 counties in Middle and West Tennessee. What you’ll do: The Corporate Partnerships Manager advances the mission of Second Harvest Food Bank (SHFB) by creating and maintaining impactful, measurable, and engaging corporate partnerships. This position supports and fosters our deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is the foundation for creating a culture of belonging for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executes the strategy related to SHFB’s sponsorship programs, including identifying, cultivating, and developing leads and prospects, negotiating contracts and packages, closing deals, and providing account management.
- Working with the Senior Director, Corporate Engagement, colleagues, and staff, this role will identify and secure revenue generating opportunities with prospects across industries, foster revenue opportunities with existing donors and sponsors, and develop a multi-year strategy and planning goals to increase sponsorship and corporate partnership revenue for Second Harvest Food Bank.
- Designs, implements, and manages sponsorship plans focused on growing sponsorships across industries and sectors.
- Oversees identification of prospects, and cultivation and solicitation strategies, and closing of deals.
- Identifies and leverages SHFB’s offerings and assets.
- Works across the organization to conceptualize and develop packages for sponsorship and executes revenue generating opportunities to drive incremental revenue for the organization.
- Uses a consultative selling approach to work with prospects to gain a clear understanding of their needs and develops customized sponsorship and proposal packages to win their business/support and acquires new sponsorship revenues.
- Maintains accurate and updated records of all contacts and revenue projection pipeline of opportunities, highlighting all the prospecting, research, networking, outbound calls, and attendance at events, and/or programs.
- Supports organizational events and leads the efforts to help secure sponsors, promotes attendance, and cultivates/manages event-related relationships as part of stewardship plans.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to create customized content or presentations as sales collateral for use in sponsorship presentations, in accordance with SHFB’s ethics, branding, and other guidelines.
- Fosters a positive, ongoing relationship with donors and ensures a long-term relationship is forged by maintaining contact and proactively educating donors on outcomes and results of Second Harvest’s efforts.
- Provides timely responses to prospects, and existing sponsor and partner requests, and consults with sponsors, partners to deepen a SHFB relationship and creates annuity revenue and renewal opportunities for SHFB.
- Reports monthly and quarterly progress towards annual goal to supervisor.

When & Where:
SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Occasional evenings and/ or weekends may be required for meetings or special events.
Occasional duties may be necessary to respond to issues, outside of normal working hours (e.g., disaster response, community events, etc).
TRAVEL
Occasional daytime travel needed, up to 20% of work week within the local service area.
Current driver’s license with copy of current auto insurance and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) results needed.

Is this you?
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 4+ years of fundraising and/or sales experience and/or training required. Non-profit and fundraising/ data management systems (specially Raiser’s Edge) experience preferred.

- Communication and writing skills for ability to articulate SHFB’s mission, program objectives, exposure opportunities and/or resource needs persuasively to sponsors and corporate partners.
- Networking, teamwork, negotiation, and interpersonal diplomacy skills with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
- Technical proficiency in the use of computer systems, Microsoft office suite products as well as fundraising/ data management systems.
