Job summary

Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Promote awareness of the company, hotel, and restaurant/bar/outlets images internally and externally. Create and execute social media posts and campaigns as well as respond to guest comments on these channels. Help develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps, etc.) for promotional events: property tours, and conferences. Prepare or edit letters, invitations, monthly and quarterly internal e-newsletters, press reports, and news releases, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. Make updates to property website. Assist with photo and video shoots. Respond to all daily general media inquiries or refer to an appropriate spokesperson. Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities. Support media/influencer relations outreach efforts and other activities to bolster the property's reputation and image in the community. Coordinate on-property visits from media/influencers, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining. File and update press database, digital library, and press clippings.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answers telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Brand Stewardship & Multi-Property Alignment
  • Ensuring all digital collateral, print media, and signage strictly adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Update marketing calendars, promotional asset distribution, and asset libraries across multiple hotel properties or food & beverage (F&B) outlets.
  • Help update brochure and property collateral materials, including all property imaging work (e.g., signage).
  • Assist e-commerce with updating content on all web sites (e.g. hotel, restaurant, etc.).
Digital Marketing & Content Creation
  • Creating, scheduling, and analyzing organic social content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta).
  • Live content capture during media events or site activations when required.
  • Track articles on operations and property events.
  • Working knowledge of basic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud(Photoshop, InDesign) to adjust collateral, flyers, menu updates, and digital signage.
Website & Online Travel Agency (OTA) Maintenance
  • Updating copy, package offers, photo galleries, and landing pages on property websites.
  • Regularly checking local listings (Google Business Profile, TripAdvisor) and third-party OTAs (Expedia, Booking.com) to ensure high-resolution photos, amenity lists, and descriptions are accurate.
Public Relations, Events & Partnerships
  • Coordinating site visits, hosting media dinners, drafting press release distribution lists, and organizing influencer itineraries.
  • Assisting with corporate events, property milestone celebrations, trade shows, and community involvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate new marketing opportunities for the property.
  • Ensure property is represented on all quality internet sites that have the potential of providing business.
Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales & Marketing Opportunities
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new travel writers and local media to ensure future exposure; conducting site inspections with visiting journalists and handling calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities and additional revenue; coordinating community service activities in concert with the public image and needs of the hotel.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Report all suspicious people or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the security department.
  • Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as requested when working in public areas.
  • Ensure that property follows all corporate marketing guidelines.
  • Represent the hotel at various functions and trade shows.
  • Participation and network through key organizations.
  • Available to work at various days and times, as required. Includes, weekends, Holidays and evenings.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of personal strengths and areas for professional improvement; willing to learn from others; acting independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Share learnings, innovations, and best practices with others.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with peers and superiors.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Senior Corporate Marketing Manager & other supervisors.
  • Travel, hospitality or luxury goods background preferred
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, or related major.
  • 2-years’ experience in public relations, communications, advertising or related professional area.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in using MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to include graphs, tables and other spreadsheet functions.
  • Familiarity in using social media such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Yelp and others.
  • Discreet, able to maintain confidentiality and handle difficult inquiries with finesse.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and have high levels of patience and organization.
  • Strong organizer with the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records.
  • Efficient user of standard office equipment such as a telephone, computer, facsimile and copy machine.
  • Exceptional personal and business references.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to walk, stand and sit as required throughout the day.
  • Ability to type 40 WPM.
  • Must arrive to work well groomed, with pristine hygiene, and professional attire.

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
