Job summary

Overview

• The role supports the Mergers & Acquisitions and/or Private Equity practice teams, primarily advising corporate and private equity clients.
• The Business Group represents diverse clients, including Fortune 100 public companies, leading global private equity firms, middle-market private companies, family office investors, and founders, in strategic and transformative transactions such as public and private M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and capital raising.
• Requires significant experience in M&A and/or private equity transactions, including a strong working knowledge of all core aspects of transactional practice and experience managing transaction workstreams.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong drafting skills for primary or ancillary transaction documents, diligence reports, client communications, and governance, organizational, and other equityholder agreements.
• Must be able to work efficiently with a fast-paced, complex workload, balancing multiple projects, maintaining priorities, and anticipating issues within practice and deal teams.
• AmLaw 100 or AmLaw 200 law firm experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with AI and deal execution tools is preferred.
• The firm is the only law firm ranked Band 1 for Corporate/M&A in both Ohio-North and Ohio-South by Chambers.
