Job summary

Westpac in New York City seeks a Supervisor for Institutional Banking & Capital Solutions (IBCS) Operations to lead a high-performing team focused on market-leading service for internal and external IBCS customers.

You will help manage end-to-end loan processing, collaborate with Credit Risk and Treasury, and drive operational excellence across the regional branches in New York, London, and Frankfurt.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of corporate lending is beneficial.
• Operational experience would be highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on a variety of tasks and prioritise accordingly.
• Ability to make decisions and own them.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Credit Risk, Lending Service and TCS to create end-to-end processing.
• Contribute to a risk-aware culture with a no surprises approach.
• Actively contribute to daily servicing requirements and improve service levels (IGNITE).
• Oversee deal origination, loan and settlement processing in LoanIQ.
• Escalate incidents and log customer complaints; ensure handovers to relevant teams.

Job Description

Role Title:Supervisor, Institutional Banking & Capital Solutions (IBCS) Operations

This opportunity sits in our New York office working for Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), the division of Westpac, which services the needs of our corporate, institutional, and governmental clients.

How will I help?

WIB & Group Treasury Operations (WIBGTO) service customers across the New York, London & Frankfurt Branches and Institutional Banking & Capital Solutions (IBCS) Operations provide operational support for Corporate Lending Products, and service support for IBCS customers.

The Supervisor will assist the Senior Manager to develop a high performing team focussed on delivering market leading service for our internal and external IBCS customers through forward looking product and portfolio management and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

• Work closely with the Credit Risk, Lending Service and TCS teams to create a seamless end-to-end processing experience for the customer
• Contribute to a risk aware culture within the team that includes a “no surprises” approach.
• Actively contribute to the daily servicing requirements in the team and suggest ways to improve service levels and operational efficiency (IGNITE)
• Create a collaborative culture which clears the way to work effectively within the IBCS Delivery Unit and Line of Business
• Oversee and check the deal origination, loan, and settlement processing in LoanIQ
• Ensure all work for the day has been completed by the team and handover to the LMO Team as required
• Investigate lending issues related to London, Frankfurt, and New York Branches
• Partner with Product, Treasury, Finance and Lending Service to ensure customer deliverables are met.
• Ensure we use technology to innovate and deliver transformation in our service and operating environments.
• Ensure customer complaints are logged in Solve It and investigated promptly.
• Ensure Incidents and Issus are escalated to the Senior Manager immediately.

Fixed compensation range for this position is between $100,000 – 120,000 USD (depending on experience) + bonus.
