Job summary

Dexian, a leading technology and staffing company, is seeking an accounting professional in Houston, TX to manage month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management for our investment funds division. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting and 1-3 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or public accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Operations, or Public Accounting/Audit.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, review P&L statements monthly.
• Prepare reports showing financial performance and help with budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee vendor payments, incoming payments, and cash collections.
• Track money coming into and going out of investment funds, including capital calls and investor distributions.
• Help calculate NAV and review reports prepared by external fund administrators.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and assist with special projects.
• Help improve accounting processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Salary Range: $85-95k annual salary + discretionary 15-20% bonus + benefits

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Accounting and month-end close: Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, review P&L statements, and ensure the books are accurate every month.
• Financial reporting: Prepare reports showing the company's financial performance and help with budgeting and forecasting.
• AP/AR and cash management: Oversee vendor payments, incoming payments, and cash collections.
• Investment fund accounting: Track money coming into and going out of investment funds, including capital calls and investor distributions.
• NAV and investor reporting: Help calculate the value of investment funds and review reports prepared by external fund administrators.
• Leadership support: Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and assist with special projects.
• Process improvement: Help improve accounting processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in:
