The Connell Company is seeking a Corporate Fixed Asset Accountant to own the full lifecycle of fixed assets across a diverse portfolio, from acquisitions to disposals, ensuring accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.
You will manage CIP, depreciation, and asset classifications, collaborate with tax and external consultants, and contribute to audits, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and professional judgment.
Behind every growing business is an accounting function that accurately captures, interprets, and reflects its investments in the financials. At The Connell Company, our diverse portfolio of businesses and properties creates a fixed asset environment that is both substantial and complex, and we are looking for an experienced Corporate Fixed Asset Accountant to take ownership of this critical area of our accounting operation.
In this role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of our fixed assets, from acquisitions and construction in progress through capitalization, transfers, depreciation, reconciliations, and disposals. You’ll work across the organization to maintain the integrity of our fixed asset records, ensure appropriate accounting treatment, and support accurate book and tax reporting across a dynamic portfolio.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with curiosity and sound judgment. Someone who doesn’t simply process an asset transaction, but understands what sits behind it, knows when to ask questions, and takes pride in making sure the accounting is right.
