Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage, seeks a Corporate Finance Manager to steer long-range planning and financial modeling. You'll partner with Finance, Strategy, BUs, Engineering, and Operations to craft assumptions and evaluate scenarios aligned with company goals.

You will deliver detailed corporate projections, executive reports, and analytics for board review, while driving process improvements and automation across the finance function in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Finance experience, bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate FP&A, financial statement analysis, forecasting and planning.
  • Outstanding communication skills to convey complex financial information to executives and board.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple priorities with a strong process orientation.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and modeling tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to work across organizational boundaries.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled efficiency, automation, and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

As a Corporate Finance Manager at Micron, you will help direct our financial future. Your focus will be the long-range planning process and maintaining a detailed financial model. You will collaborate with Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Units, Engineering, and Operations leadership. Together, you will develop assumptions for the long-range plan and evaluate scenarios that align with company goals.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Develop long-term corporate financial projections: Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of corporate financial projection systems, adhering strictly to processes and deadlines.
  • Consolidate corporate business plans: Collaborate with business and finance leaders to review and refine plan assumptions, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Prepare executive and board reports: Deliver detailed and timely financial reports for executive and board review, including analytics for investor communications.
  • Report and monitor benchmarks: Track and report critical financial metrics to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate across functional areas: Provide outstanding financial evaluation to foster process refinement and boost performance.
  • Enable value-creating decisions: Lead efforts to ensure decision-making is supported with relevant financial information.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency within the financial planning and analysis function.
Systems Transformation & Process Excellence
  • Partner with Finance Systems, IT, and business collaborators to develop balanced solutions that improve corporate planning systems.
  • Champion automation, AI adoption, and advanced analytics to improve reporting quality and efficiency.
Operational Efficiency
  • Foster process improvements while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Adhere to disciplined planning calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Participate in initiatives passionate about process simplification and reporting optimization.
  • Maintain adherence to Finance reporting standards and consistent benchmark definitions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Finance experience and a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of corporate FP&A, financial statement analysis, and forecasting and planning
  • Outstanding communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to executives and the board.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple priorities and tight deadlines with a strong process orientation.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and modeling tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong analytical skills with a diligent approach.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, demanding environments.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled efficiency, automation, and analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate-level qualification in Finance or Business
  • Outstanding business competence and financial skill with a deep understanding of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet dynamics.
