Job summary

Island, a Coppell, Texas–based company, seeks an organized Corporate Events Intern to support internal and external events, from conferences to webinars. The role offers hands-on experience across logistics, planning, and collaboration with marketing, sales, and leadership teams.

You’ll gain exposure to budgets, timelines, attendee communications, and post-event reporting while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree/ and or graduate in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working with vendors, colleagues, and guests.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, experience with tools like Salesforce, Excel, PPT
• A proactive, calm attitude under pressure and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
• Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, or travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and logistics for corporate events, including venue research, vendor coordination, catering, AV, and travel arrangements.
• build and maintain event timelines, run-of-show documents, budgets, and checklists so nothing falls through the cracks.
• Manage attendee registration, RSVPs, guest lists, and event communications such as invitations, reminders, and follow-up emails.
• Coordinate event materials and swag, including ordering, shipping, inventory tracking, and on-site setup.
• Help on-site at events with check-in, setup and teardown, guest support, and problem-solving in real time.
• Assist with virtual and hybrid events by setting up platforms, testing tech, and supporting speakers and attendees.
• Collect post-event data, including attendance, survey feedback, and lead lists, and help prepare recap reports.
• Research upcoming industry conferences and trade shows and recommend sponsorship or attendance opportunities.
