Requirements:
Job Dynamics & Interfaces
Internal: Human Resources, Production, Logistics, Maintenance and Engineering, Purchasing.
External: Company Vendors, Subcontractors, Insurance & broker representatives, State and or Federal Compliance officers.
Travel: Up to 50% - Job is based in Doswell, VA but will travel to the other sites as needed.
Required Job Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Engineering and or Management .
· Professional EHS certification is (CIH, CSP, CHMM, and / or PE).
· 7+ years’ professional safety experience in the manufacturing industry.
· Proven track record in driving cultural change in EHS.
· Experience in packaging or food manufacturing environment .
· Functional EHS Knowledge in regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, EHS vendor / consultant management, business knowledge required.
· Strong communication skills, as well as excellent management skills.
