Job summary

Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City is seeking a Corporate Engagement & Events Coordinator to develop and coordinate meaningful opportunities for corporations, community groups, and other partners to engage with our mission and programs.

You will manage corporate tours, employee service opportunities, special events, and third-party fundraising events, building relationships and ensuring successful execution aligned with the organization's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in event coordination, community engagement, corporate relations, fundraising, hospitality, or related field.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously and adapt to changing plans.
• Attention to detail; ability to work independently and with others.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Experience in nonprofit environments or with corporate employee service programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate corporate tours and visits to introduce Operation Breakthrough’s mission and impact.
• Develop employee service opportunities for corporate participants.
• Serve as primary contact before, during, and after visits and service projects.
• Manage logistics: schedules, group size, activities, supplies, space, and staffing.
• Welcome groups, coordinate on-site activities, and follow up for feedback and continued engagement.
• Build strong corporate relationships to encourage engagement, sponsorship, and partnerships.
• Coordinate third-party fundraising events organized by corporations and partners.
• Advise event organizers on concepts, logistics, promotion, and branding.
• Plan and coordinate donor events and community gatherings.
• Coordinate staff, vendors, sponsors, partners, materials, and setup for events.
• Track participation, outcomes, funds raised, and follow up accordingly.
