Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a junior corporate associate to join a San Diego, CA energy, infrastructure and corporate transactions practice. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of transactional experience and exposure to M&A, project development, project finance, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience.
  • Familiarity with tax equity financings, transferable tax credits, and structured financings is a plus.
  • Experience with M&A, project development, project finance, and joint venture transactions.
  • Education: JD Degree from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation and strategy.
  • Draft well-written legal documents, including memos, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing support and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other lawyers and business professionals to develop innovative transaction strategies.
  • Participate in high-level legal activities including client calls and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to firm programs, civic and professional organizations, and pro bono work.

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Corporate practice in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience advising sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions on complex energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, joint ventures, and strategic investments. Experience with renewable energy, energy transition, tax credit transactions, and cross-border matters is preferred.

Duties
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation and strategy.
