Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Corporate Electrical Engineer responsible for ensuring plants produce the best products efficiently by implementing, maintaining, and supporting the automation & process control infrastructure, along with facility electrical infrastructures. They are responsible for updating site electrical services and ensuring all automation & process control equipment are properly maintained and meet current safety standards. The role involves supporting capital projects by collaborating with the Capital Project Manager and providing electrical engineering and automation expertise.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Support automation & process control systems in North American manufacturing plants, with knowledge of Siemens PCS7, WinCC, Rockwell ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD.
• Assist in capital projects led by Process, Packaging, and plant engineers involving electrical or automation & process control components.
• Support electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems, requiring familiarity with NEC, NFPA70, NFPA70B, NFPA70E, and NFPA79 standards.
• Maintain machine safety standards by leading or performing Machine Risk Assessments and ensuring safety controls meet Sistema Level D standards.
• Oversee third-party panel builds for upgrades and projects, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices, requiring knowledge of NEC and NFPA79.
• Provide expertise to support third-party control systems across domestic sites.
• Develop and maintain a 5-year plan for automation & process control equipment to address obsolescence in North American plants.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Automation & Electrical Controls within manufacturing, preferably in Chemical/Liquids Processing.
• Experience with process control development, OEE data collection, and packaging line integration.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems at 480V or higher.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, NFPA70B, NFPA70E, and NFPA79 standards.
