Job summary

Aligned Labs is seeking 10 Corporate Development & M&A experts for part-time, fully remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects start at 95–120 USD per hour, offering flexible schedules for seasoned professionals.

You will evaluate and pressure-test AI models using expert-level corporate development and M&A knowledge, develop practitioner-level valuation and due diligence problems, and assess whether AI-generated reasoning meets standards of senior finance professionals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate development, M&A, or transaction advisory experience.
• Fluent English reading and writing skills.
• Demonstrated pedigree — Fortune 500 corp dev, investment banking, Big 4 TAS, or equivalent.

This role includes evaluating and pressure-testing leading AI models on expert-level corporate development and M&A knowledge, creating and verifying practitioner-level problems involving valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a senior finance professional.

Who We’re Looking For

You have 5+ years of corporate development, M&A, or transaction advisory experience with a strong professional background, including one or more of the following: Valuation & Financial Modeling (DCF, Comps, Precedents), Due Diligence & Deal Execution, Deal Structuring & Negotiation, Post-Merger Integration, Divestitures & Carve-Outs, or Strategic Partnerships & Joint Ventures.

Ideal backgrounds include

• Corporate development directors and VPs at Fortune 500 companies
• Former investment bankers who transitioned into corporate development
• Big 4 transaction advisory / financial due diligence professionals (current or former)
• M&A professionals at private equity firms or PE-backed portfolio companies

Minimum Qualifications
