Job summary

Hampton Reid in Charlotte is seeking a driven Corporate Development professional to gain exposure to full-lifecycle M&A across high-volume deals. You will work on sourcing, evaluation, financial analysis, due diligence and execution.

In this role you will build and maintain valuation models (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution; comps), prepare investment committee materials, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors while engaging senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory or corporate development.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with limited oversight.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Corporate Development team is hiring into its Charlotte office. The role offers full-lifecycle M&A exposure across a high volume of transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support the full deal lifecycle across sourcing, evaluation, financial analysis, due diligence and execution.
• Build and maintain valuation models, including DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution and comparable company and precedent transaction analyses.
• Prepare investment committee materials, deal summaries and board-level presentations.
• Conduct financial, operational and market due diligence, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Analyse target businesses across the firm's core markets.
• Support transaction structuring across control acquisitions, minority investments and occasional venture-stage positions.
• Work on multiple live deals concurrently, spanning targets from small bolt-ons through to businesses with nine-figure enterprise values.
• Maintain pipeline tracking and support relationship management with prospective partners, intermediaries and advisors.
• Contribute to strategic reviews of the acquisition landscape and inform sector prioritisation.
