Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting or related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with forecasting, business planning, valuation and strategic analysis.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions or other corporate development activities preferred.
  • Experience evaluating broader initiatives outside of M&A and long-range planning.
  • Ability to communicate financial implications clearly to leadership.
  • MBA, CFA or other advanced financial education is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate opportunities and long-term plans.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends and key drivers.
  • Support corporate development activities including acquisitions, investments and partnerships.
  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence related to strategic transactions.
  • Develop forecasts, scenarios and business cases for strategic decisions.
  • Analyze company-wide performance and KPIs to inform leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and other leaders to assess financial impact of initiatives.
  • Assist with capital allocation analysis and evaluating competing opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and communicate results clearly.
  • Translate complex financial info into concise insights for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on strategic projects.
  • Take ownership of complex projects and exercise sound judgment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

We are partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Lead Corporate Development Analyst to join its finance team. This is a highly visible position supporting strategic financial initiatives, business planning, corporate development, and broader enterprise decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance professional who can take complex financial information, identify key business drivers, and turn analysis into practical recommendations for senior leadership. This individual will work across multiple areas of the business and will have exposure to both strategic initiatives and ongoing financial planning.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working beyond traditional financial reporting and wants to play a meaningful role in evaluating growth opportunities, improving financial visibility, and supporting long-term business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business opportunities, investments, strategic initiatives, and long-term plans.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and key business drivers.
  • Support corporate development activities, including evaluating potential acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and other growth opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence related to strategic transactions and business initiatives.
  • Develop forecasts, scenarios, and business cases to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Analyze company-wide financial performance, KPIs, and long-range plans to provide meaningful insights to leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and other business leaders to evaluate the financial impact of major initiatives and decisions.
  • Assist with capital allocation analysis and assessment of competing investment opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reporting, and analysis that clearly communicate financial results and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, business planning, valuation, and strategic analysis.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, investments, or other corporate development activities preferred.
  • Experience evaluating broader business initiatives outside of M&A, including growth strategies, capital investments, operational initiatives, or long-range planning.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial performance metrics, and business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and communicate the implications of the underlying analysis.
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership and presenting complex information to executive audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • MBA, CFA, or other advanced financial education is a plus.
