SUMMARY

The Corporate Deployable Medic (CDM) is responsible for managing emergent and non-emergency medical care at worksites such as drilling rigs, hazardous construction sites, and high workforce density areas. They provide primary and emergency care to client employees, contractors, and sub-contractors, perform safety checks on medical gear, and support quality assurance and clinical operations.

The CDM supports the Clinical Operations team, maintains certifications as an advanced healthcare provider, and works as part of a team to ensure clinical excellence. They must be ready to deploy globally and uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deploy to project sites globally
  • Support healthcare record quality assurance
  • Manage documentation systems and auxiliary programs
  • Train and mentor deployed medical staff
  • Conduct DOT urine and BAT testing training
  • Implement process improvements
  • Perform compliance and governance audits

When deployed:

  • Provide urgent and emergency care
  • Conduct clinical assessments and examinations
  • Manage patient data using EHR systems
  • Report on medical treatments
  • Transport patients if necessary
  • Ensure medical supplies are ready
  • Participate in simulation exercises
  • Follow emergency response plans and guidelines
  • Manage disease prevention and control
  • Coordinate with support teams during emergencies
  • Report cases and outbreaks
  • Maintain clinic readiness and equipment
  • Perform health and hygiene management
  • Conduct workforce training and drills
  • Manage controlled substances
  • Complete reports and timesheets
  • Maintain professionalism and communication with clients
  • Conduct medical inductions and monitor workforce health
  • Perform drug and immunization programs
  • Promote health activities
  • Comply with training and operational requirements
  • Maintain professional certifications

Additional tasks: As assigned by the Vice President of Clinical Operations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two years as a qualified paramedic
  • US National Registry or State Licensed/Certified Paramedic
  • Experience in remote medical support preferred
  • Offshore and wind industry experience preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
  • Effective use of RMI EHR systems after training

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluency in English
  • Completion of RMI pre-hiring procedures
  • Reliability, integrity, and professionalism
  • Ability to pass medical assessments
  • Current immunizations as per health guidelines
  • Report writing skills
  • Administrative and coordination skills
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and data handling

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Valid medical licenses and certifications
  • OEUK or equivalent medical certificate
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications
  • Offshore Water Survival (preferred)
  • PHTLS or equivalent (preferred)

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role involves working in austere, remote locations with limited infrastructure, potentially extreme temperatures, and endemic disease risks. Candidates must be medically fit, and accommodations may be basic. Immunizations and prophylaxis for diseases like malaria are required as per guidelines.
