Job summary

Freudenberg Group seeks an experienced International Trade Compliance specialist to lead audits and support subsidiaries on customs and export control matters. The role requires translating complex regulations into practical processes and training teams globally.

You will monitor evolving UCC and regulatory changes, advise on compliance strategies, and collaborate with the International Trade Compliance team to ensure accurate, four-eyes reviewed operations across borders.

Qualifications

  • University degree or completed commercial vocational training with a focus on customs, export control, or international trade
  • Several years of professional experience in customs and export control within an industrial/manufacturing company
  • Sound knowledge of the Union Customs Code (UCC) and German, European, and U.S. (re-)export control regulations
  • Strong understanding of operational processes combined with analytical and process-oriented thinking
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical and compliant operational solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (ERP and GTS) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent German and English language skills, along with willingness to travel internationally
  • Strong team-oriented mindset and excellent teamwork skills

  • Supporting and advising the International Trade Compliance team in day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance, including adherence to the four-eyes principle
